Cisarua, a subdistrict in Bogor Regency, West Java, Indonesia, has a population of approximately 127,096 people in 2020. This area is known for its cool climate as it is surrounded by Mount Gede-Pangrango to the south and Jonggol Mountains to the north. That is why Cisarua has been a favorite holiday destination for the Dutch since the Dutch East Indies era, and this tradition continues until now by the residents of Jabodetabekpunjur and its surrounding areas. In addition to its cool climate, Cisarua also has another attraction, which is its vast tea plantations.

Near this subdistrict, there is a mountainous route famous for its "heritage" villas, hostels, and hotels called "Puncak Pass," which was built in 1928. Cisarua is also known for its relatively high population of Middle Eastern origin and the use of the Arabic language. There is also a significant population of asylum seekers and refugees, especially from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Egypt, and Somalia. Many asylum seekers choose Cisarua as their place of residence due to its cool temperature and proximity to the UNHCR office in Jakarta, which is approximately 72 kilometers north of this subdistrict.

Interestingly, Cisarua is also a destination for tourists from the Middle East, especially from Saudi Arabia, because their reasons for coming are similar to those of asylum seekers. Due to the influx of Arab immigrants and tourists, this district is often referred to as the "Arab Village".

2. Or take an intercity bus from Kampung Rambutan terminal with a route to Cianjur, the fare is Rp.55,000.
